Day 7: Going Forward

0a2e6936-c14f-40aa-b914-011f66a317acDay 7:

Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week comes to a close! This past week has been a really fun one for me, as I’ve been able to embrace my personal journey while not feeling the need to justify who I am otherwise. That feels good. As for tomorrow, I am very much looking forward to a self care/personal day again after such a hectic week with the blog and life.

You guys make me happy …

As for today –  I wanted to say THANKS so very much to all of you for your involvement. I am once again encouraged by all the people who have reached out, those who helped me out this week by sharing my posts or being part/writing of them and those who continually support me outside of this week. I am also surprised by all the new connections I have made this week in the Crohn’s community, it is so nice to find new friends with this common thread in our lives. I know there was a lot posted this week, but I just hope even one thought or fact helped increase someone’s understanding.

Going forward …

I’ve got some great guest posts coming up from other autoimmune sufferers or those impacted by invisible illness, as well as some holiday recipes I’m working on. But, if you want to get involved next year or anytime throughout the year by raising awareness or getting more information here are some organizations you can look to:

Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation

Take Steps / Team Challenge

Advocacy efforts

University of Chicago IBD Clinic
