It’s Friday! TGIF! anyone remember that? We are heading into yet another busy weekend and I am looking forward to catching up with friends and getting ready for the holiday next week and am reallyyyy hoping my body and immune system comply. As I have tried to cross everything off my infamous to do list this week, some things have definitely been put on the back burner, like grocery shopping and cooking.
We try to completely clean out our refrigerator every few weeks before we make another grocery store run and figured, what better time to do an overhaul than before this wonderful food centered holiday? We all know I will be hitting the store multiple times over the next week, but until then, I am using everything else up!
Enter the protein ball. These guys are quick to make and since we haven’t made time for breakfast before work lately, they are currently satisfying that mid-morning hunger and have been great to eat when there is a little downtime …. or whenever you feel like it!
1-2 scoops of Vital Proteins (they have a bunch of new products on their website now, has anyone tried the new Collagen Creamer?!)
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/3 cup of agave nectar
1/2 cup of flax seed
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tbsp of Cacao Powder
1 1/2 cup of Gluten Free Rolled Oats
1/3 cup of dark chocolate chips (or raisins or anything else you want)
Combine in bowl, refrigerate for at least an hour, then roll into balls! Enjoy!
